Ganni Incorporates Recycled Wool Into Their FW20 Range

@Ganni has introduced recycled wool into their new Fall Winter 2020 collection.

The new regenerated wool is created using 62% post-consumer recycled fibers of high quality wool garments.

Old wool pieces are handpicked and sorted, shredded, spun and woven into a new, original wool material.

The mechanical process is done by expects in Italian mill @manteco_spa and does not use any chemicals.

The fibers are certified by an external organisation, the Global Recycling Standard, and produce up to 50% less CO2 emissions compared to virgin wool.

Using recycled wool considerably lowers the damage the fabric has on the environment and redirects wool from ending up in landfill.

@Ganni’s decision to incorporate post-consumer recycled wool into their FW20 collection progresses the development of a circular economy for fashion and textile production.
