Harry Styles Makes History As First Solo Male Cover On Vogue - And He Did It In A Dress

@HarryStyles making history on the cover of @VogueMagazine’s December issue.

@Vogue chose Styles for their first ever solo male cover. The magazine has featured men on its cover ten times, but this is the first time a man has featured alone.

In addition, Harry Styles is gracing the cover in a blue gown and black tuxedo, both designed by @Gucci. Styles is known to be experimental fashion and continues to challenge gender norms.

"When you take away ‘There’s clothes for men and there’s clothes for women,’ once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play," #HarryStyles told #Vogue. "It’s like anything—anytime you’re putting barriers up in your own life, you’re just limiting yourself."

Styles credits his style transformation to stylist @Harry_Lambert, who he met 7 years ago and has since become good friends with.

“He just has fun with clothing, and that’s kind of where I’ve got it from,” told Styles of Lambert. “He doesn’t take it too seriously, which means I don’t take it too seriously.”

“Now I’ll put on something that feels really flamboyant, and I don’t feel crazy wearing it...Clothes are there to have fun with and experiment with and play with. What’s really exciting is that all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away.”
