Brand/Designer Info:

The Bally brand was born when Carl Franz Bally took over his family’s factory in 1851. The factory was based in a Swiss town occupied mainly by luxury crafts people, most of who were employed by Bally. Initially focusing on shoes, Bally soon diversified into handbags and ready to wear.

Restraint is part of Bally’s DNA, in general ‘less is more’. Even when embellishment is the focus of a certain piece, it is done minimally. Bally blends panache and restraint, ‘free of attitude but not of confidence’. It is the opposite of show-offish. Looks are built to endure, merging colourways with heritage craftsmanship, textured materials, and fluid lines.

Bally’s commitment to sustainability was confirmed with them signing the Fashion Pact in 2019, joining a global coalition of brands championing a more sustainable fashion industry by addressing the climate, biodiversity, and the oceans. In addition, Bally launched its Bally Peak Outlook in 2019, which has a focus on mountain preservation. A recent initiative included a clean up of Mount Everest from Base Camp to the Peak Two, where over two tons of rubbish was removed..
